Tiny,first of all you should not assume what everyone wants ! I happen to know many people who are ready to trade in many creature comforts for a cleaner healthier enviroment. Also I know a whole lot of people who would like to see US oil ,''all of it'' used here in the US not sold to the international corporations for pennies on the dollar. Right now in Alaska there are forghein oil companies drilling on lands that belong to me and you for practicaly nothing.
Of course the people with money invested in the oil companies ,and the oil companies themselves will never be convinced that all the oil and or money in the world is not worth the destruction of our natural world. Well maybe when the day arrives that they find themselves trying to eat,drink,make shelter out of and even medicate themselves with money,just maybe they will be convinced that living,working healthy and clean ecosystems were indeed more important than their money. |
