| Yes Bobbi, its unbelievable. As an educated woman, I know that you can appreciate the allegories we often find in mythology and ancient literature. Its as if a portal has been opened into the abyss, into Hades or Hell itself. If you'll remember Pluto (or Hades) who ruled the underworld, also controlled the great wealth (usually thought of as gold and precious stones) of that region (today we can think in terms of oil). So the vent has opened, and out of it spews contanimation into the physical and perhaps even psychic domains too. Some who have been out into the open Gulf say that its very eerie out there. Not much sign of fish breaking the surface or of bird life either. I could indulge myself with other well known verses from ancient literature, but I won't. I'll leave it to others to read the signs of the times. |
