August 26, 1992

I was sleeping alone in a dark, powerless house in 85 degrees and 90+% humidity.  Thankfully, I had no children at the time and was able to go to work indoors with A/C.  The 45 hours I spent without power seemed like a week at the time.  This was from the fringe of Andrew in SE LA with about 70 to 75 mph winds and a few gusts that might have hit 100.

I'm sure those of you in south Florida back then have much more interesting memories.
