People should already have those preparations done at the beginning of hurricane season.

I hear what your saying but not most are not prepared up here. We havn't been hit in like 25 years. Most people are complacent, including me. Neither I or any of my family is ready if this one hits here. If I lived down south, it would be a different story, at least for me.
