Well, we'll see what happens down the road. If this thing remains weak, and I think it will, we should see models trend more westerly and the system could end up making a run for the GoM. If conditions in the GoM are more favorable, I do think this system has a chance to ramp up at that time. It is clearly a feisty little system, so as soon as conditions become more favorable I do think it could explode. But if not, it will remain another tropical non-event like Don was.

I think there will be a lot of waiting to do with this system, and in the near-term I am starting to pray that it does indeed trend more westerly to spare Haiti from a potentially devastating rainfall.
