Well, what's interesting is they keep it over land for 2-3 days. Which means this thing is going to get very weak....maybe not even be a depression by the time it gets off of Cuba. She's not going to go into Hispanola as a cat. 5...she may only be a cat. 1 tops, so she's going to lose pop pretty fast, and maybe even lose her circulation.
My guess is that's why they believe this thing is going to drift more westerly. She stays weak and drifts WNW more. As soon as they get it into the open water, they ramp it up and tug it NNW and N. |
