Just make sure you have all your supplies-extra water, canned goods, bread, cereal.  Put some jugs of water or bowls of water in your freezer and freeze.  You can use that to keep your frig cool after the storm if the power goes out or in an ice chest.  And if you have a battery powered fan those really come in handy.  Lantern and flashlights/flashlight and extra batteries.  I don't know about flooding up that way but have an ax to get to the roof if need be.  And make sure you have cash.  Things could close up and/or not work.  Everything they say you need to do...do it.  And be sure you have a plan for your pets...full tank of gas in your car.  Don't wait to the last minute to do things.  I've been through lots of storms so the best thing is just be prepared.  And make sure you have a contact outside the area but remember, cell phone service can be disrupted.  I even have life vests for flooding...may sound silly but we never know here on the coast.  And Irene is large which means her ts winds will spread out over a wide area.  Went through Ike in 2008 and he was huge-covered a wide area.  Anyway, just prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
