I just found my forecast for Irene just before she hit PR... LOL ... I didn't realized how far in DC was from the East Coast... I thought she would land near Virgina Beach.

'There's a high pressure area over the center of the US. It looks like it may leave a "trof" between it and the Atlantic high on the CMC model, but then the high (or ridge if you'd like) merges with the Atlantic high to force Irene to swing back into the East Coast near DC.'
