Re forecasting: "Although, no one forecast it to strengthen like that." Is there a chance one day technology will be able to such a thing?
"I can't imagine living somewhere that didn't have the ability for me to go online and pull up the radar". By no stretch of the imagination would I even try to compare the two but more than once we have had some very nasty/strong thunderstorms pop and they don't show up on radar. In fact one night I got an emergency severe weather alert after a storm passed, believe it or not it was a pet that alerted me before the storm came. Yes I do rely on being able to pull up the radar.
