Morehead and Hatteras

Thanks Jim, It might be nice to see a hurricane model heatmap for dummies page...
Basically the most important data from the current page placed in a separate 8th grade level graphics page.
(I'm sure you have the free time)
I went to Google maps and noticed hundreds of houses along the Cape Hatteras beachfront highway.
Morehead City has a population of over 8000 and there seems to be well over 2000 people living in the small towns between Pamlico Sound and the Atlantic, and over 6000 in Kill Devil Hills...
A quick direct landfall could do a lot to disipate Florence, or if she turns early enough she might keep a low pressure but just produce waves before heading out without landfall.
The worst two scenarios I can imagine are: No official landfall but an eyewall riding up the coastline, or More than one landfalls.
If either of those two scenarios happens and Florence spends a lot of time over NC then we could be looking at Houston like damage to areas with tens of billions of dollars in needed recovery funds from Congress. (probably small odds at this time, Florence is still a tropical storm right?)
Disclaimer: I'm just an opinionated amateur hurricane tracker. Please follow your official local weather advisories.
