Both Euro and GFS as of 00z Sunday now seem to indicate a possible Cat. 3 at our Florida Panhandle doorstep Wed. or Thurs.

Alligator, are you watching this?? Looking pretty scary at the moment, potentially for both of us. Trying to wait for better data once cyclone has officially formed, but this close in time...well.

Fingers crossed that we aren't forced to evacuate the barrier island, though I suppose I'd better make reservations tomorrow just in case. Can always hope, I suppose - since the storm will be traveling so fast - that it won't have time to build up a very large storm surge. Am I fooling myself?
