I think us Gulf Coasters are antsy. The 98L models are so closely clustered together that even without a defined system, there seems to be a consensus of a strong high pressure system persisting, if nothing else.
Two storms in the Gulf within two days of each other, that's not wholly unprecedented. If somebody can help me find the year (late 1880s/90s, I think), two hurricanes hit the MS/AL/FL Gulf Coast less than 48 hours apart from each other. |
