Re: the MRMS radar doesn't show warnings, I don't think

Thanks, Chris. I'd already looked (twice) at most of the links you provided, including the EGLIN gif, which I bookmarked yesterday in case it does indeed provide warnings as it indicates. Still think it's disgusting I have to navigate between sites to get a complete detailed overview including warnings, and still get decent loading speed -- none of which currently exists at the new NWS radar site.

Everything else you've been mentioning sounds like just more annoyances.

MRMS seems the best alternative so far; at least it's fast loading. But besides lacking warnings I wish it had (1) a way to zoom out after zooming in by clicking, without "resetting the region" which means going back to the national map and starting all over, (2) a way to convert times to my time zone (and not in military time). And probably more wants after I use it a while.

You said, "I just don't get how in 2020 sites can be so difficult to use if you are a big company or a government site. UI, user interface, is a big part in designing websites. You can have a lot of great things, but if people can't easily navigate your site, it's useless"

And that's the bottom line.

Plus there's the perennial this: We can go to the moon, but radar portrayal on our own planet is such a friggin' MESS, for no apparent reason other than the demise of FLASH?? Does Adobe really have the only decent software designers in the world?

I hope NWS continues to get a good thrashing on Twitter over this. Maybe, just maybe, they'll actually listen, webinars aside.
