Re: a change in "status" of this power outage

Thanks for keeping everyone up to date on things, including the storm. The power company underestimated the number of people out here I think. I had seen that 18 without power when looking at Home Depot. There are 87 lots in my neighborhood and I think most were without power. Some people had partial power. Neighbor across the street had partial power and when power company came by their meter read as having no power going through it. So, I guess weird stuff was happening too. I didn't know, but for some people that had partial power they didn't have three phases of the power. Don't know about how it works, but some tried using their A/C and it may have damaged it because they didn't have all three phases. One neighbor definitely has an issue and for another across the street it sparked I think somewhere when they tried it before they turned it off. Haven't talked to them to see if it works now. They are busy today as there is a trailer for debris parked in front of the house for all the restoration work that is starting, which is fast to start. I talked to him yesterday and he was going to get an estimate.

I think the reason we got power was a neighbor that kept calling. At one point we were taken off the list perhaps because she was told to fill an outage report again and somewhere it seemed like we restored she said. Of course we weren't. Then she was told there were a lot of other neighborhoods like ours and it could be another week. This was either Saturday night or Sunday morning. Then they came out Sunday. We never saw a power truck in the neighborhood before then. I guess in the neighborhood next to mine, Dana Shores, the county over the weekend was checking on people due to how devatstated it was. They were among the last two neighborhoods where the water had to recede when the evacuation orders were lifted for rest of county. I didn't know that then, but looked into how they did today some more after seeing on the local news of a report they did from there over the weekend that I saw this morning.
