Concern over oil spillage

Not to in any way detract from focus on the horrific human tragedy that befell the Gulf oil rig yesterday, yet certain local weather people here in the Pensacola area have already begun to tentatively warn of the possibility that anticipated currents may eventually bring some of the spillage to our white sand beaches.  This is a perfectly terrible thing to contemplate so I'm trying not to think about what may or may not transpire, but it's a serious concern, and naturally this entire tragedy is already reshaping political thought about the advisability of allowing drilling off Florida's shores.  Tourism is the mainstay of our economy, and I feel certain there are many hoteliers, restaurateurs, shop owners, charter boat captains, etc. on the Northwest Florida coast who, while surely sorrowing for those who have lost loved ones, are nevertheless also shaking in their economic boat shoes tonight.  Alabama and Mississippi won't be resting easy, either.  Very scary indeed.

If/when anyone has more definitive information on this situation, will you please post?  I realize no one has full grasp of the facts and implications yet.
