45,000 gal a day leaking

Alligator Bob that is a laughable statement to make this seem like much ado about nothing as natural seepage is a bigger problem. This 400 mile wide & growing slick is headed towards land & this was from a rig waaaaay off shore. If anything BP got lucky that when the sinking took place as the main pipe bent rather than broke clear off,if it was open  this would be 4 times as bad. All I can say is to keep these damn things away from the florida beaches. I would rather continue getting most of our oil from Canada, furthermore our fuel prices would not go down if we had 100 rigs off the fla coast but one major cane could completely wipe out the tourism industry as the beaches & local reefs would never be the same..
