Excellent post Jim. Great to see you posting and going long this year ... love your input not just your expertise on hurricanes.
Truth is tho we don't know for sure where the oil will go if it continues so it's sort of like those people who live in condos and spend a fortune for hurricane shutters on their balcony only to sustain major damage because...well they live in a condo and the people above them and next to them did not board up..
We are all in this together...and oil from rigs in Alabama can easily wash up on the Panhandle beaches.
There was an article the other day in NC about several times that oil has washed up on Carolina beaches from places far away.. the Gulf Stream is one amazing conveyor or water and everything that is in it.
And, hurricanes form an they hit land and that is just the way it is... pretending otherwise is living in denial.
The board is great, www.hurricanecity.com is great and a lot of moisture down there in the Carib and Atlantic... when other factors kick in to place it's going to get really busy around here.
Interesting year setting up possibly.
