I will certainly concur that this site is "a great place" and that "we are lucky to have it." Doesn't mean I personally am ever going to celebrate or hunger for hurricanes, any more than I do killer tornados, earthquakes, or any other potentially devastating natural phenomena. But that's just me.
Still, I have to say I find it quite interesting, in a paradoxical sort of way, that one would decry others' failure to properly recognize the recent oil platform deaths, while habitually becoming very happily excited over the least little wave that might possibly foretell a hurricane -- you know, those storms that also regularly KILL people.
Call me a party pooper. And call me done. I'll try not to bother y'all again on this topic -- at least until next year. Ha.
