The multi-dimensional complexity of winter storms is truly amazing...and it requires a small science dictionary to keep up with the terminology involved.
It's also fun to watch local radar loops when the storm is at full fury because one can see all the 'waves' of energy moving about in varying directions (often colliding, pivoting, and what have you.)
