My goodness. This would be unprecedentedly early for a Cape Verde system to threaten the U.S., would it not? I cannot recall the last time I saw a Cape Verde system this formidable during the first week of July. And now it's been upgraded to 40% probability of becoming a depression.
Interesting to see Chris say he's never seen a system at such a low latitude. Is it lower than Ivan? I believe Ivan holds the record for the lowest latitude at which a storm became a depression? |
