I'm sorry to hear about your cancer. I hope your treatments go well. It would definitely be important for you to get those shots, either in the same arm at the same time or space it out a little. The timing of when to get them is something you might want to talk to your doctor about. I don't know if there would be any conflict with getting treatments, but it wouldn't hurt to ask I guess. I haven't got mine yet. I think I am going to get the covid booster within a week or so maybe and then the flu shot sometime in the next few weeks.
Walgreens also gives a reward for getting a vaccine: https://www.walgreens.com/topic/pharmacy/immunization-services-appointments.jsp A Walgreens coupon where if you get a vaccine and then spend $1 or more on your next purchase, you will get $10 off your next purchase after that. Only good for one vaccine and only one per Walgreens rewards account.
I have Florida Blue insurance and they actually take off $20 off my premium for getting each of those shots, covid booster and flu, and so I'll get $40 total in the end. (some terms apply in case anyone else has that insurance)
Wearing a mask would be a good idea. My dad had a phone appointment with someone yesterday and the person had to cancel because they had the coronavirus. More people are getting it right now. I would definitely avoid any confrontation with people. People lose their minds over masks at this point. I'm kind of surprised no one has ever come up to me and said something about me wearing a mask. If they ever did I would just say I live with some older who is more at risk and defuse the situation. People don't need much of an excuse to do something really crazy and really violent. I watch the local news every night and it seems there is always someone in the area that did something crazy that day. |
