Hard to tell on the latest run.

Maybe convection will fire here the next couple days and heat up the atmosphere enough to drop shear and then the large-amp trop-wave will hit the region and develop?

Maybe Derek doesn't like 850mb vorticity, but it has done well in my book over the years.
