There is too many security risks with allowing Java to be embedded into the page. You'll have to link to it or find a compatible product that is an animated gif image. Or if you wanted you could build a gif file yourself from selected frames and then upload it to an image hosting website, but it would be easier just to link to it. Maybe just have the latest image displayed here if the file size is not too big and then just have it link to the Java version with a note under the image that says click the image for the Java loop.

Plus, I know some people, including me, hate Java. To have it on the forum would mean that someone could open a post and it just might crash the browser. I've had better luck with it lately, but there are still too many issues with it. That's why I am glad that NOAA is doing a lot in Flash or Google Maps. Of course Flash and JavaScript also have their security risks too, so unfortunately I can't allow those outside technologies as well.
