Models are totally confused this morning.

I think the problem is there is no core-temp measurement yet from AMSU.

Looking at the GOES VIS, I don't see any deep convection or towers.

Cloud tops are about 50 to 55K ft.

It seems like the jet to the NW is running about at 300mb.

Below that, winds are turning pretty much in the same direction; i.e. west to east.

Guidance shows an average track running into the Bahamas whcih appears mostly due to a strong low coming off the NE CONUS coast.

Looking at GFS, by the time this gets to about 14N 55W, the jet may be relaxed some what; going from about 40 to 50 knots now, to about 20 knots.
