ABOUT 110 MI...180 KM SOUTH OF BROWNSVILLE. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS AT LANDFALL WERE ESTIMATED TO BE 105 MPH...165 KM/HR...A CATEGORY TWO HURRICANE ON THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON HURRICANE WIND SCALE.
