Should Tropical Storm Watches & warnings been issued for NYC area..


There has been discussion whether ot not the  tropical storm watch should have been issued for the area.Some say the NHC was irresponsible in Issuing watches for the NYC metro area and had no chance of see anything close to TS winds

I says yes it was definiaty warrented.If the storm did shift west further then the Project path then they could have been in TS sustained winds.Got to give people the heads up that there is a "chance" of seeing TS winds..I think people just don't understant the differences between watches and warning.
