It appears as if the circulation is forming further south, at least looking at visible and looking at Jim's post.

It's going to be really key whether this thing goes south of Hispanola, or turns north and gets into the North Atlantic. You're talking about a possible Charley-like path vs. a possible Emily-like path (comparing paths, not strengths). Really too early to tell....remember, though, that weaker storms in this part of the atlantic tend to want to stay on a more westerly course.
