I wish more of the storm chasers would try remote cameras along the coast. If not live, stored digitally. Footage of the surge like this is important, but you don't need a person there. I can't imagine what their families were thinking during that as they watched live.
It's incredible how fast things change with the surge. They ended up being very lucky the house they got into remained standing. There were a lot right along the coast where the surge washed away everything, with only the foundation remaining. |
