Commander Fleet Activities Okinawa
Good evening, Okinawa!

OK, not EXACTLY the gentle breeze I was talking about yesterday - but my Pajero Mini isn't pulling a "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" across the parking lot so I'm going to declare victory.

Prapiroon is giving us about 30 knots of sustained winds, gusting to 45 ... and appears to be running the same buttonhook pattern Navy is going to use to great effect when we BEAT ARMY on December 8th! (Don't tell Army!). We're going to see (hear, actually) strong winds throughout the night and morning, starting to taper off as the storm passes by (at about 132 miles) tomorrow night. Or we'll see something completely different. It's weather, folks, not the Honda assembly line ...
...
For those of you concerned about Tropical Cyclone Conditions of Readiness - remember, we won't go up the ladder unless we expect to see "dangerous" winds (50 knots or greater) at some point. And we don't. Probably. Got to go retrieve my grill now.

Sorry for the late post, shipmates - been a busy day. Stay safe! Stormy
