I'm sorry that things had to work out where you had to move, but I'm glad that you made the right decision. It is a tough decision to make. You know you should, but you have to actually go through with it.
My next door neighbor actually wants to buy my house, tear it down build one higher and sell his old house to a friend. I found that out a few days ago. He's offering a bit lower than I'd like, and it was more an informal range so far. I haven't listed it or anything and I'm still unsure about it, though with him there would be no real estate commissions, which would save 7%. But we started talking about selling during the 2004 hurricane season, so we're still dragging our feel on it. But I think it will happen in the next several years. I got rid of a lot of stuff, donated and threw away, and I am also selling a lot of stuff on eBay to get rid of the stuff we have. I'd say we already got rid of over half our junk, especially in the garage. Attic is pretty much completely clear.
If your rates go above 20%, I think they would have to, but that's just based on that website. Knowing them, there's fine print somewhere. I am surprised they advertise. They prefer to scare people away at all cost. |
