politically incorrect response

hmmmm, this is always a tough one to tackle oil spill or not.  The fact is that we like to track hurricanes and there are many in here that get a thrill out of seeing them come ashore & I hate to admit it but I am one of them. I dont think I ever saw a post where people were saying I cant wait to see it come here so I think the posters keep the potential victims thoughts in mind which is all you can ask from a poster, to keep it respectful. . If all hurricanes went out to sea without affecting land there would be a fraction of the post on this board, that is the reality of it. There is alot of uncertainty as to what a hurricane would do to the oil spill, some say it would help break it up & others say it would spread it all over the gulf but no one really knows,so we cant say if a hurricane is good or bad in this situation. The bottom line is if a hurricane is going to hit, there is nothing anyone can say to change it,nature is in charge. Man created this mess & the residents in Louisiana ,Mississippi &  Alabama voted to allow drilling, maybe not all ,but the majority did. The fact that Dauphin Island allows dozens of  those drilling platforms within eyeshot of the beach is pathetic knowing hurricanes are going to continue slamming them. Dozens of rigs capsized or sunk in Katrina and they still supported drilling even after Katrina & Rita dumped hundreds of thousands of gallons into the gulf. I do not want to see the same areas that got Katrina get hit again but it is inevitable. This is not the last time we will see a spill near or during hurricane season so basically you asked for it ......you got it......... oilspill....,hurricanes or not. Florida on the other hand has demanded to keep oil drilling away from florida because of this very reason & that fact that the peninsula gets nailed by hurricanes. The hurricanes will keep coming whether we want them or not and it is up to us to prepare our properties & infrustructure to deal with it rather than making it worse by putting obstructions in harms way. "Most" people die in hurricanes because they are ignorant or someone responsible for them is ignorant. Most people that died in New orleans knew they had to leave but decided to stay & die, they made a choice. As for me I have decided to stay in the worst case scenario & cover it but I am well prepared, shuttered & outside of the surge zone, if I wasnt I would not stay. Even those fisherman in La love the fishing around those rigs but now complain when they knew the risk. OK lets cancel hurricane season because of the oil spill , infact lets not allow any more hurricane seasons because we insist on drilling, oh thats right we cant!
