BeachLover- I am so sorry for what you are going through and my heart is hurting for you.  You have every reason to whine, cry, be mad, etcetera.  I am in Texas and I love the beach.  I spent alot of time on the beach as a youth and spend more time there as an adult.  I dont live right on the beach, yet, but near Freeport Tx.  But maybe some day.  So I wake up everyday and look at the news on the oilspill and think, 'But for the grace of God or nature, goes my Texas beach'.  So I worry and cry along with you.
