This was from earlier in the month.

"The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health, has established a new clinical trials network that aims to enroll thousands of volunteers in large-scale clinical trials testing a variety of investigational vaccines and monoclonal antibodies intended to protect people from COVID-19."

I think they are looking for 10,000 to 30,000 volunteers. There are risks of course. They are testing to see how safe and effective it is. Also, not sure you would definitely get the vaccine or if you would get a placebo potentially.

In addition to the risk of the potential vaccine, you may have to go in often:

"Most studies require coming into the research site for 10 or more visits over 1-2 years. In some of the antibody studies, the study staff will come to you via mobile transportation unit."

I am not going to do it, but thought I would post it if others are interested. I wouldn't want to have to go out 10 or more times. Too much risk that I would get it and then pass it on to my dad.
