I have Spectrum phone service that uses the internet. I turned off my power when I left so I don't know what that might do. I don't use voicemail on my home phone, so no telling where that goes when I don't have the power on, meaning internet/phone modem wouldn't be powered.
Although if you called my Google Voice number, no idea what went wrong there. It is supposed to email me with voicemails. I rarely use it, so it shouldn't have been full.
My neighborhood got more wind damage than in prior hurricanes where wind was the biggest threat. Airport had gust to 93mph. Really messed with the landscaping, downing lots of trees. Some roof tiles or shingles off. One house under eaves had some damage. Another house not pictured had screen enclosure screening torn quite a lot. Another house had tree fall somewhat on it, but I don't think it damaged it.
The floating wood dock in the picture floated there from neighbor next door to them in last hurricane...
My yard...
A bush that has nice flowers, but has weird vines, toppled over:
Broke off:
Same thing happened in prior storm, part of neighbor's bird of paradise tree fell in our yard.
Downspout came off:
Part of some kind of thin palm over water.
Created mounds of dirt with dirt dug up from yard in front of garage and atrium door.
Toppled plumeria:
Another one that toppled.
Another one:
A lot of snapped limbs on plumeria across the yard.
And of course there were some palm trees with leaves hanging down like this.
Tree on left is leaning some now.
Ground comes up slightly.
Also have two leaning palms. One large one that will need to come down. Woodpeckers had already done a number on it. And it might have disease that a lot of palms in my yard have died from. And if not, would get it eventually.
To get into our neighborhood, we waited until a tree was cut on the way to it.
Earlier on, part of prep (already emailed you these previously)...
Atrium door which leads to two sliding glass doors in master bedroom:
Tape, cause why not. (attempted to waterproof power box in case of surge)
Plywood over sliding glass doors.
Being crazy with plastic, plywood and driveway pavers.
Not much of a view.
More prep, some of these I might have already posted.
Side door to garage. Plastic, dirt, pavers, roofing tile, mulch.
Windows boarded up:
Garage. Had to clean all this up yesterday to get car in.
Rain came in through that garage door. Soaked a door mat carpet and a pair of gloves. Didn't do damage, just weird. The rain came in between section of the door I guess.
More windows...
Kitchen window and sliding glass doors in three rooms covered in pool area.
