Update M3 Flare mitigates quake risk

AMB-2011-02-24 In the past several hours x-ray bursts in the M and C classes were detected from an active solar region emerging on the Sun's Eastern limb. These shocks may have broken up the incoming geomagnetic disturbance thereby mitigating the risk of a major seismic event in the coming days. Major seismic events are still considered possible but less probable and earlier analysis on the possible locations is no longer valid.
