It's starting to make a comeback though in just the last hour.

Convection is really starting to fire at the center compared to what it was.

Take a look at:

Then: Enhanced Infrared (IR) Imagery (4 km Mercator) > Loop

With 10 hours to go it has plenty of time. Imagine what it might be like in 4 hours when they make their next scheduled best track assessment. (assuming they do not go ahead and decide to upgrade at 11pm EDT based on this recent burst, which could still happen)
