Indeed, we are all human and storms and equations are not. Like Jim said, silly things effect the track upstream and down. That's the part that mostly has me nervous right now. Things like weird ERCs, enlarged eye and CDO, 100 mile wobbles. And uhh, we've got the gulfstream influence here soon. Do our models do great with those? Nope. And even w/o those, given this air environment the models really struggled 5 days out.
3 days? We can breathe a bit of a sigh barring the weird stuff said above. |
