It pays to call to confirm who has boosters. I checked Publix's website this morning, a grocery story here in Florida, and they said they only had Pfizer dosses in 4 counties. (Brevard, Duval, Orange and Polk) Moderna in the rest.

https://www.publix.com/covid-vaccine

They have only had Pfizer in those four counties so far. Their website now says this:

"Following approval by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in-store Florida Publix pharmacies in Brevard, Duval, Orange and Polk counties can administer booster doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to eligible individuals. We'll provide more details, including additional locations that will provide Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine booster doses, once they're available."

But my dad had called our local Publix today and they do actually say they have Pfizer booster doses at my local Publix. My dad called twice to verify and talked to different people each time. We called too late in the day, but had he just walked up before 4pm he could have got it today. I still won't believe it until it happens, but he's going to go tomorrow morning at 10:30am and get it. (That's the time they said he could come or after; He's filling out the paperwork in the middle of that page and bringing it like we did for flu shots a few weeks ago) I will also try making an appointment at Walgreens on Sunday when appointments open up Saturday. That way I can cancel it if he does get it Saturday. Doesn't mean all Publix's have Pfizer, but worth checking for others in Florida who don't live in those four counties. If few people know about them having it in some stores, might be less busy until everyone realizes it.
