Try Publix for Moderna

In our area (NW Fl Panhandle), Publix has been (or at least had been, in late August) pretty liberal in providing third doses of Moderna. I'd heard this from others so hubby and I, both elderly, I overweight, dropped by in August and asked for a booster. All I had to tell the pharmacist was that we were six months beyond our prior second dose, that my husband was soon going in for triple hernia surgery, that I was a breast cancer survivor (though she didn't ask if I'd undergone chemo, nor how long ago), and she stopped me and just tossed the papers for us to sign across the desk and we were in!
I was especially grateful because the person who gave me my second dose of Moderna back in February had placed the needle way around to the side of my arm before I realized what she was doing. I don't even know if she reached the needed muscle; she actually drew a spurt of blood (sorry). So I'd always wondered if I were fully protected.
With this third full dose* I also finally had some side effects, which I was VERY happy to see.
*My understanding is that, at least as to Moderna, the booster they're working on getting approved is only half of the prior doses.
So if I were anyone at any risk within shouting distance of a Publix, I'd try them. Of course, they may've tightened things up since August, but maybe it's worth a shot (no pun intended).
