I spoke with one of my brothers in MN yesterday, who said he had a supply of N95 masks he's had for some time, but gave most to his daughter in healthcare, who said her clinic is nearly out & not scheduled for another shipment until April. He raises cattle & has them processed yearly, selling or donating the beef to friends, family & those in need. He used them mostly when making hay, as the air gets filled with the grasses, allergens, etc, making it hard for him to breath & finish making hay on however many acres he was baling or cutting.

One of my nephew's spouse in St Paul is a scientist at 3M, they have ramped up production of pandemic supplies for quite some time. Unfortunately, his spouse worked on other areas of expertise & I believe was put "on hold" until their production priorities change. The Star Tribune has a recnt article about N95s, mentions 3M, as it's a large company in the area https://www.startribune.com/cloth-masks-are-out-n95s-are-in-heres-what-you-need-to-know-about-them/600134847/

I have had CIDRAP's site saved for a while now https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/ Michael Osterholm' does a video update there, though the latest is currently Jan 6th https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/covid-19/podcasts-webinars They are a great resource for reliable info.
