| I am not sure necessarily if they just began that this season but I do now they debuted the "Potential Tropical Cyclone" designation this year, so both initiatives are part of the NHC's effort to forecast in a more proactive manner. I'll say that the latter has been a bit controversial. I know Jim has strong thoughts on it and I have gotten the impression that Bryan Norcross also is not a fan of the concept. |
