The coastal storm did bring snow to Wilmington...twice.
The first snow was at 7:30am when the rain changed to snow. That snow covered the ground but melted away by afternoon.
Then at 7pm, just as all winter advisories expired....bingo - it started snowing; and it snowed for a couple of hours! (Okay, it was light snow...but for here....heck, we'll take anything, ha-ha.)
The evening snow stuck around til the next day.
I've no local pics but I found this one from Cape Hatteras:

Okay, it's not Long Island type snow but heck...how often do ya seen snow with palm trees? (And getting snow all the way out to Cape Hatteras is no easy task!) |
