Why Hurricane Hunters?
Here in Gulf Breeze, not far from Pensacola Beach, we're under a winter storm warning for the 24 hours starting 6 a.m. Tuesday 1/21, with heaviest snow expected in afternoon. The snow amount could be historic for this area. Really kind of insane. Schools and most everything else closed both Tuesday and Wednesday. Plows are not generally available around here, just sanding/de-icing, which had already begun Monday.
