Re: from a former military COVID planner

In a few months we'll have Covid-19, the flu and the normal things people are in the hospital for. I can't imagine a hurricane hitting an area during that time. Even now. I didn't expect some hospitals to be nearly full already, into surge capacity. Add opening schools which is going to be an utter disaster and it's hard to fathom how bad fall will be. We need the two hospital ships back and military field hospitals. But that wouldn't be enough. I'm starting to think that even when hospitals are truly full and have nowhere to send someone, and some patients just die, some governors are still not going to close things down. I don't think there is any chance in the world that the governor of Florida will require masks statewide before the GOP convention in Jacksonville. Little chance after either probably. Doubt he would ever close the state down. Disney and other theme parks would have to close voluntarily first. I wish all stores would require masks. Some more of the big stores are starting nationally.
