Re: he finally got tested

I hope he feels better soon. If he has it, the duration is certainly very variable. Even when he thinks he is better, it is best to get two negative test results at least 24 hours apart if he does have it. And if that isn't possible, he should still avoid people for awhile even after he feels better. Make sure he tells you of any odd symptoms, even if it feels like it might be unrelated. More information is better.

When masked, just make sure you take it off carefully. I see people on TV, like politicians, not doing that carefully. They take off the mask and put it in their pocket and then put it back on. You really need to be more careful doing that. Take it off and set it down somewhere where it isn't going to get perhaps more infected. Be careful if you put it back on again soon after, it could have the virus on it. I will likely try to wear multiple masks if I ever go out. Haven't tried it yet, but like a cloth mask and one of those medical like masks. I bought cloth masks with a pocket you can put a filter in too, though haven't tried it yet. Things are still sitting after I ordered them, other than cloth mask I washed.

Maybe I might put one of those medical masks on the outside and cloth against my mouth. If I were to take it off, discard for now the medical like mask and use another when I put things back on. Wait awhile before using that one again. I don't know how wearing multiple things might impact breathing.

If it doesn't bother him, when around others in the house he should wear a mask, but that might be uncomfortable to do depending on how he feels. I guess everybody should be wearing a mask for now, acting as if everyone has it, but assuming that if someone does, at least some don't. He should isolate himself from everyone else if possible. Have his own bathroom if possible. If not, it is going to be a lot of cleaning for someone.

It would be best to keep the dog away. It may be much more easy for the dog to be able to get it than the dog spread it, but one certainly wouldn't want to give it to the dog in the first place. Not sure how well pets do. There's very few I'm sure that have ever been tested and we don't know how easy they get it in the first place.
